Our Mission

Healing the deep wounds of October 7th.

From grief-stricken firsthand testimonials, a dream was born. October 7th and its aftermath lingers in survivors, soldiers, and families. After hearing the stories of soldiers in bases throughout Israel, and wives and teenagers at family events, founder Sheri Perlman felt strongly that there needed to be a new, innovative approach to grief, trauma, and healing. Sheri has brought her experience in creating occupational therapy and psychotherapy spaces in New York City to Israel to transform the landscape of trauma treatment.

At The Tali Center, we are dedicated to helping soldiers and their families heal from the invisible wounds of trauma by creating a safe and nurturing environment rooted in compassion and connection. We offer traditional psychotherapy, holistic and unique trauma-informed healing practices such as poetry, meditation, and therapeutic workshops that provide non-traditional yet science-backed paths to recovery. These creative and reflective tools give people a safe space to process pain, express emotion, and build emotional strength. Through community groups, family retreats, and meaningful experiences, we support those who have served as they find resilience, inner peace, and renewed hope.

If not now, when?

From love and loss, The Tali Center is born. Tali was a survivor of the shooting of the girls' school on the Jordanian border in the 90’s. She believes that the unresolved trauma caused her cancer. My promise to her near the end was that I would create a center in honor of her spiritual journey home, and to try to save others from the effects trauma has on one’s life. Mercaz Tali is a non profit healing oasis in nature. Trauma therapy, ongoing psychotherapy, and holistic healing are available for all ages, along with retreats and family fun days, that will  provide activities that make room for love and joy and strength again. I am available to speak about the unprecedented trauma people are experiencing from the view point of a therapist volunteering with the soldiers and families. Feel free to reach out and support our people. “If not now, when?”

Together, we can create a place of healing and hope. A place where silence turns to song, pain turns to purpose, and trauma gives way to renewal.

The Tali Center: because when Israel is vulnerable, none of us is safe. And when we help each other heal, we all grow stronger.
